Greetings Fashionability Listeners!
Welcome back to the channel, today is the 16th of September 2016 which marks the start of London Fashion Week here in the UK. But, despite the fact its 2016 there is an astonishing lack of disability representation on the catwalk. Why is this?
Joining us on the podcast today is model Kelly Knox, Kelly is a campaigner, model and performing artist. She first came onto the modelling and fashion scene when she won the BBC tv show Britain’s Missing Top Model and from there she’s gone on to work with brands like P&G and Marie Claire China. Today Kelly talks to co founder Emily about her experiences a model with a disability and her views on how the fashion industry needs to change its approach towards representing disability.
We hope you enjoy the programme!
